I am currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration with a minor in chemistry and have a plan of scaling my pool services business. I was heading towards an engineering degree but I had to come to terms with the effect AI is having on my generation as they graduate from college. We are currently facing post secondary education challenges as AI replaces many in the workforce and I am aware of the need to carve out a service oriented business instead of the usual corporate route.

Because of this choice I have been working the past 4 years with a pool services veteran of 40 plus years and have grown into my own route with him. As he nears retirement, I am working to continue offering the things he does best; relationships, honesty, and integrity while providing professional services that you can depend on. He continues to pour his knowledge into me and is a constant when I encounter challenges that require his expertise.

What I have grown into is not just a growing book of business but a group of folks that I am beginning to know. It starts with their pool and their needs but often moves to knowing their family, things going on in their lives and even getting to enjoy the occasional dog or two. This furthers my commitment to offering honest suggestions, repairs and adjustments that might be required while taking care of their pools (and yours as well). I see my customers as people with families and not a sales or revenue goal.
